At Wheatland Dermatology, we believe access to quality skin care shouldn't be complicated. We accept most major insurance plans and are committed to making the billing and verification process as smooth as possible — so you can focus on your health, not your paperwork. If you have questions about your coverage, our team is happy to help before your appointment.

Don't see your plan listed? If you are unsure whether or not your physician is a participating provider with your insurance or would like more information regarding what services are covered through your insurance, please contact the customer service number on the back of your insurance card.


Before your appointment

To ensure a smooth check-in experience, please keep the following in mind:

  • Bring your insurance card and a valid photo ID (driver's license or government-issued ID) to every visit.
  • Referrals & authorizations — if your insurance plan requires a referral, please obtain an authorization form from your primary care physician prior to your appointment.
  • Verify your coverage — we recommend contacting your insurance provider ahead of your visit to confirm your dermatology benefits, copay, and any deductible responsibilities.

Uninsured & out-of-network patients

We welcome patients who are uninsured or whose plan is not currently accepted at our practice. If you do not have insurance or carry a plan with which we do not participate, payment for your visit and any procedures performed will be due at the time of service. Please call our office in advance and we'll walk you through your options.
